So recently in the news, I saw that Rob Gronkowski, "Gronk", of the Patriots shaved his head to raise money for local kids who were fighting cancer. It's amazing to see someone like Gronk to spend his time to raise money for these kids who are fighting such a terrible battle. The painting shown above was drawn by Jac Saorsa. She painted a collection of similar pieces and presented them in a exhibition called Illness begins with an "I". This image and others that I saw showed the pain and suffering that cancer patients endure. I personally do not know anyone who has cancer and it was more than shocking.

What can you do? Here's 6 ways how.

  1. Donate! There are many organizations such as St. Jude Children's Hospital (click here) and the American Cancer Society (click here) that make sure that cancer patients receive the treatment they need

  2. Volunteer at a local hospital

  3. Participate in a walk-a-thon where the proceeds go to helping fight cancer. An example is here

  4. Become a member and donate to STOP CANCER to fund cancer research. click here to find out how.

  5. Inquire at a company or organization that you know to become a partner with St. Jude here

  6. Write a letter/card to cancer patients and families
