I'm sure many of you have heard about the White House decision to repeal DACA, as well as its tremendous impact it will have on our economy, so I don't need to tell you that removing 800,000 people will only add to the shortage of workers, and that kicking people out of our country just won't create jobs. If this isn't enough, think about what it means to be American: "...Send these, the homeless, tempest-tossed to me, I lift my lamp beside the golden door!” -inscription on the Statue of Liberty.
What can you do? Here are 3 ways how:
1. Sign a petition (3 mins) It's easy. simple. straightforward. Tell Congress that you support your fellow Americans and that they need to create a DREAM Act. Add on to the pile of signatures- click here.
2. Call your representative (12 mins) It's actually a lot easier than it sounds. Find your rep. here and tell them how you feel and ask them if they support the DREAM Act. If they do, express your gratitude; if they don't, tell them why they should (the economic impacts of 800,000 previously protected undocumented immigrants).
3. Respond (8 mins) Tell Trump why he's wrong. Leave a message on the White House website- click here.
